About

My name is Tom, my family and I live in Texas, and I’ve been riding since 1968. My entire family rides and we do most, if not all, of our own service work. Our bikes have ranged from small 50cc bikes, to scooters, to MX bikes, to touring bikes. Bridgestones to Beemers, Hondas to Harleys, and more – and we liked them all. We have rebuilt motors and transmissions and have completed frame-up restorations. Our professional backgrounds are in electronics/electrical parts distribution, institutional food sales, banking, and the staffing industry. We are not professional bike people, but rather, amateurs with a passion.

One of my craziest projects was back in 1969 when my dad designed a voice-actuated starter module. I built and integrated it into the electric start switch of a sweet little Yamaha 200 Scrambler. This was before people had even heard of voice-actuated anything. Now that bike drew a crowd! We hung around local bike shops until enough people were outside for me to nonchalantly whistle. The little Yamaha Scrambler would start right up and people just could not figure it out. It was fun.

Here on BikerInfo, you will find reviews, comparisons and opinions on gadgets I have used and my experience with them. Hopefully you will find the articles interesting and informative. Perhaps some will help in making an informed decision or maybe even prevent a few “headaches” along the way.  Let me know what you think!
